Our roots

The Hacienda's transformation reflects a conviction shared by generations of families, educators and benefactors: bringing quality education closer to young people from rural communities and families with limited resources.

A history built in stages

These milestones explain the development of the educational project and its presence in the region.

  1. 1944The Barroso family acquires the San Miguel Mimiahuapan Hacienda.
  2. 1974The former Hacienda is donated and Cultural Mimiahuapan A.C. is established.
  3. 1986The private middle school for boys opens and Centro Escolar Mimiahuapan is born.
  4. 2000The Parent School opens at Casa Toro in Apan.
  5. 2004The Technological High School begins with Logistics and Programming.
  6. 2012The Honor Guard Band is created.
  7. 2020The Centro Escolar Mimiahuapan Board is founded.
